AutumnGrove Cottage in The Heights

Assisted Living in The Heights Texas

The AutumnGrove Cottage at our Heights location is not only unique in Alzheimer’s Care, but also unique in its exterior design in comparison to our other cottages. In order for this cottage to blend in with the lovely atmosphere of the old town feel of  The Heights, this cottage was designed to look like a Victorian cottage complete with gingerbread adornments and sitting on piers like the other homes in the neighborhood. This cottage has been overwhelmingly welcomed by the Heights community with neighbors stopping by to visit, have coffee with the residents and bring goodies for snacks. There is a lovely veranda in the back where residents often spend afternoons doing activities or having afternoon tea.

Assisted Living Specializing in Memory Loss and Dementia Care

Dementia care is not what we do, it’s ALL we do. Everything we do is centered around this highly specialized type of care. From our building design, to our staffing requirements, to our training and education programs, it ALL centers around dementia care.

Dementia care is probably the most complicated type of care in Long Term Care. It just makes sense to seek out someone that specializes in that specific type of care. With our passion to significantly improve the quality of life and care for those with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, we have created a personalized care model that blends our small, intimate home environment and unique design features with 24-hour care and stimulating activities, giving residents maximum independence and care.

We honor the resident for the person that they are today, as well as who they were yesterday and respect their rights while optimizing their individuality, remaining strengths and abilities.

We honor and respect our families and will proactively communicate and support them through this difficult time.

Assisted Living in a Cottage Setting

We only have 16 residents at each cottage. We like to use the analogy that we are to assisted livings what a bed and breakfast is to the hotel industry. You can always find a nice hotel with a nice lobby and hundreds of well appointed rooms, but a large hotel will never foster the personal relationship many people find when they stay at a bed and breakfast.

At a Bed and Breakfast, not only do you get to know the owner on a personal level, but if there are other guests, you get to know them at a personal level too. With only 16 residents our manager, care-givers and other family members will get to know you and your loved one on a very personal and individual level; a level simply unobtainable if we had hundreds of people to care for.
